Installing on macOS

The build carries an ad-hoc signature and is not yet notarised by Apple, so Gatekeeper will stop the first launch. Getting past it takes one extra click:

  1. Download the .dmg for your Mac.
  2. Open it and drag JingleLayer into Applications.
  3. In Finder, right-click JingleLayer and choose Open.
  4. Confirm with Open in the dialog. Every launch after that is an ordinary double-click.

If macOS reports the app as "damaged and can't be opened", it has attached a quarantine flag. Clear it in Terminal:

xattr -cr /Applications/JingleLayer.app

Then repeat step 3.

Installing on Windows

  1. Download the .exe installer.
  2. Run it. If SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway.
  3. Follow the installer as usual.

Both warnings disappear once the Apple Developer ID and Windows EV signing certificates are in place — that work is under way.
