Installing on macOS
The build carries an ad-hoc signature and is not yet notarised by Apple, so Gatekeeper will stop the first launch. Getting past it takes one extra click:
- Download the .dmg for your Mac.
- Open it and drag JingleLayer into Applications.
- In Finder, right-click JingleLayer and choose Open.
- Confirm with Open in the dialog. Every launch after that is an ordinary double-click.
If macOS reports the app as "damaged and can't be opened", it has attached a quarantine flag. Clear it in Terminal:
xattr -cr /Applications/JingleLayer.app
Then repeat step 3.
Installing on Windows
- Download the .exe installer.
- Run it. If SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway.
- Follow the installer as usual.
Both warnings disappear once the Apple Developer ID and Windows EV signing certificates are in place — that work is under way.
